we have had quite a year and we would like to send out some well wishes to everyone who had a part of making this year such a good one. to all our friends, families, loved ones, everyone at polyvinyl, seth f., seth h., ralf and peter at 2fortheroad, josh briggs, the evangelicals, mates of state, the submarines, gentleman auction house, daniel gill, marty and susan, skippy and union hall, cnn, npr, toby in leipzig, the schubas in chicago, the canopy club and everyone there, everyone who came to shows, everyone who booked our shows, hung out, had a beer, had a whiskey, listened to a tune, listened to a few tunes, played in a band, sold a beer, sold a whiskey, gave a beer, gave a whiskey, had a dance, had a comment, had a compliment, had a burn, everyone, thank you all!!!!!!!
we are done playing shows for the year (except erin who is playing here in champaign at the courtyard cafe on december 4th) and are all super ready for turkey, stuffing, egg nog, horse riding, wall painting, leaf raking, couch time and recording our next record. we hope everyone has a wonderful and safe winter!

So - we just returned home from a wonderful tour in Europe. Belgium, France, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, England, Wales, Ireland, and Northern Ireland - thanks so much for your warmth and hospitality!!

Our home - "The Farmhouse" now sits vacant waiting for a new renter to pay the propane bill.
This is the place where we recorded and mixed the entirety of "Some Racing, Some Stopping," a good portion of "Kill Them With Kindness," "EP2," and "The Enemis EP." The stairway was our reverb chamber, the dining room was our rehearsal space, and "the brown room" was our control room. The porch was the place where we grilled, hung out with friends, watched huge spiders catch and kill their prey, and wondered at the thousands of fireflies flitting around the fields. The ceiling leaked, the wind whipped through the walls, and the winter cold wore right through our bones, but somehow we always stayed just warm enough.
Goodbye, Farmhouse. May your future tenants love/hate you just as much as we did.
